Yes, on a short term basis. This is dependent on the needs of the family member with disability. If I think a family needs long-term supports, I have a wide network of contacts I can refer them on to.
Yes. I have completed post-graduate studies in professional supervision and provide supervision to Allied Health professionals University and TAFE students, and staff from NDIS service providers. This can be provided in person, online or over the phone.
Yes. I am an Accredited Social Worker through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and as such my social work services are accredited and insured. My accreditation is renewed annually and I am required to complete set professional development hours throughout the year.
All professional training is accredited through the relevant professional bodies and each course will be advertised with the relevant accreditation information.
I am a specialist in my field with over 15 years’ experience and have worked with government and non-government organisations throughout my career. Having worked in the education sector in the capacity of a Disability Advisor as well as for service providers, I understand the needs of individuals and families and how the current system is not catering to needs outside the basic requirements of a person with disability. I have experience applying for and securing funding supports outside of the NDIS.
I have worked with people of all ages and understand that needs change based not only on age but on other factors such as family dynamics, culture, faith, gender and geographic location.
My work will always be about you and your needs, not the disability system.
All service and training will be provided by qualified allied health staff as well as experienced disability support staff. All staff are required to complete a Working with Children’s Check and a National Police Check.
I will be running various short-term programs for children and young people throughout the year as well as training and professional development workshops for schools, businesses and families. Some will be face to face with an option for online attendance.
I am also able to provide customised training for schools and businesses.
